• Josh Cobia

    Lead Pastor

    Josh and his wife Chelsea moved to Santa Monica and began praying about what it would mean to be a part of planting a missional church in an area that they cared about deeply. 

    They helped launch Resonate in April of 2015 and in July of 2016, Josh accepted the position of lead pastor at Resonate.

    He has served as a Youth Pastor, Worship Leader, and Community Pastor with a combined 10 years of ministry experience.  

    Josh is an accomplished writer, especially on the subjects of millennials and church refugees. He has contributed to the Huffington Post, Faithit.com, and most notably the Washington Post. You can listen to his sermons on iTunes.

  • Bobbie Rich


    Bobbie Rich is a full time artist and art educator, continually finding new inspiration on her extensive travels. She was originally drawn to the West Coast to attend the University of Southern California. Over a decade later, Bobbie's art is featured in private collections in Florence, Kuwait City, London, New York, Chicago, Denver and more, as well as, exhibited in many galleries and alternative venues. Bobbie creates in her Santa Monica home studio and teaches in client homes, private schools, business offices, hospitals, nonprofits, restaurants, etc. Bobbie is the Director of Visual Arts for Resonate LA, where she uses art as a platform to connect diverse people in community and service. Bobbie delights in sharing her passion for art with both the public and her numerous pupils.

  • Chelsea Cobia

    Director of children's ministry

    Chelsea Cobia is the Director of Little Resonate, the children’s ministry ages birth-5th grade at Resonate. Alongside working with children on Sunday mornings, Chelsea is also a full-time Kindergarten teacher at Calvary Christian School in Pacific Palisades. She has a heart for children and a passion to teach them about God’s love for them.  Chelsea grew up in Calabasas, California, studied at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and currently lives in Santa Monica with her husband Josh and their puppy Baloo.  Chelsea loves being able to serve in the city that she loves and being apart of the Resonate community!

  • Omid heidari

    worship Leader

    Omid Heidari has led worship ministry at Resonate church since 2016. Growing up on the plains of Kansas, he migrated west to Los Angeles to attend Pepperdine University. His childhood and university days were heavily steeped in the arts. He performed in his first community musical at age 8 and decided never to leave the stage. Post-college, he stayed in California, working in independent film and traveling extensively. His love for Christ and the arts led him to a teaching position at Calvary Christian School where he currently serves as Director of Performing Arts, equipping the next generation of thespians and teaching piano and voice. Omid considers it an honor and a joy to serve alongside the incredibly unique and passionate Resonate community in spreading the Good News on the Westside.

  • Sean Blackwood

    Head of Church Board

    Sean serves as the head of the board at Resonate. He grew up in Northern California and made his way to Los Angeles when he attended Pepperdine University.  After graduating, he started his career in Finance. He currently works as a Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial. Sean and his wife Sandi have been a part of Resonate since the start. When he is not working behind the BBQ for various Resonate events, you will find him doing behind the scenes work dealing with day to day as well as long-term financial operations for Resonate. Sean has a huge heart for God and is so excited to see what God has in store for Resonate and its community.

  • Bill loskota


    Bill Loskota grew up in Southern California and has never left, with the exception of travel, adventures, and service. Born in Pasadena, Bill attended Pepperdine University for both his undergrad and M.B.A. It was in graduate school where he met his now wife. Together, Bill and Libby live in Westchester. They joined the Resonate community in October 2016, and he became a board member in 2017.

    When he’s not on some weekend adventure, you’ll find Bill playing the Cajon as part of the worship team, greeting guests of Resonate or discussing service opportunities for our church (an effort which he helps lead).
